This dictionary of an Algerian Berber dialect. Kabyle, replaces and updates previous dictionaries both in its method of classification by roots and in its content. Thus, it is addressed not only to the inhabiunts of Kabylie, but also to other Berber speakers of the Maghreb, to students of Berber, and to linguists in the field of Hamito-Semitic (through références to other Berber dialects and to Arabie). Further, the numerous examples illustrating individual, family, and social life in the female as well as the maie world will be of interest to sociologists, anthropologists and specialists in oral literature, in short, to ail who seek to understand the realities of North Africa as they are revealed in this most lively language.
